This week in Beyond Come Follow Me, I tell the historical stories surrounding Doctrine and Covenants 27-28. The Church was only a few months old, but Joseph and Emma had already suffered great trials and hardships. The Lord, in His mercy, provided revelations of instruction, comfort, and promised blessings just when they needed them the most. This week, I share the stories surrounding these revelations being received, plus, I will share several stories about Emma Smith which certainly illustrate why the Lord called her “an elect lady”.
