In "Beyond Come Follow Me", I tell the Church history stories that relate to this week's Come Follow Me lessons. Knowing what was going on in Church history at the time, and what Joseph was praying for, can really help the revelations come to life, and help them become applicable to our own lives.
In this week’s video of Beyond Come Follow Me, I share the background Church History stories of Sections 46-48 plus a couple of stories about Joseph Smith that you may not have heard before.
Section 46 can help each of us determine our own “gifts of the spirit” and how to use those gifts to bless our lives and those around us.
In this week’s Beyond Come Follow Me lesson, Joseph and Emma have moved to the Isaac Morley Farm where Joseph will receive 13 Sections of the Doctrine and Covenants, the 4 General Conference of the Church will be held, and the Father and Son both appear.
In Section 45, the Lord commands Joseph to translate the New Testament. This will fulfil the prophecy found in 1 Nephi 13:32. I’ll share the story of this work, and the miraculous events which allow us to have the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible today.

The infant Church officially moves to Kirtland.
